Edgewood butcher shop Chop Shop will soon have its own wine shop
Chop Shop, owned by Avondale Estates butcher Rusty Bowers of Pine Street Market and Wes and Charlotte Swancy of hog farm Riverview Farms, plan to open a wine shop called the Pour House next door, the AJC reports. Miles Macquarrie (Kimball House, Watchman’s Seafood and Spirits) is helping Bowers and the Swancys select the wines for the Pour House. The shop would also allow beer and wine to be consumed on the covered patio. Chop Shop, which opened in February at the corner of Memorial Drive and Whitefoord Avenue in Edgewood, is “Atlanta’s first farmer-owned” butcher shop. [AJC]
