MET Atlanta/Facebook

Family owned restaurant Buenos Dias Cafe plans to open a new Latin market La Bodega later this year. The grocery/lunch counter will serve the community at arts incubator the MET. Adjacent to the West End MARTA Station, situated between Murphy Avenue and Metropolitan Parkway.

Buenos Dias Cafe is a no frills restaurant in Downtown Atlanta to grab all-day breakfast (think breakfast tacos), quesadillas, nachos, tacos, and a classic Cuban sandwich. La Bodega will be an extension of the Latin American space, but with juices, local produce, and locally made products.

Occupying 3,600 square feet of space at the entrance of the MET, La Bodega will start with lunchtime counter service and eventually move into breakfast and dinner.

Menu items from Buenos Dias Cafe will be brought over to the bodega’s menu, including the popular pupusas. Other items will include soups, sandwiches, salads and fresh-squeezed juices.

La Bodega should be open by the end of 2019.
