Tal Baum, owner of Ponce City Market’s Bellina Alimentari, opens Aziza at Westside Provisions District (WSPD) in late June. The restaurant, located beneath Marcel in the complex, hopes to introduce Atlantans to the “non-traditional side of Israeli cuisine.”
The lunch and dinner menu, under the guidance of executive chef Brandon Hughes, features dishes meant for family-style sharing. Aziza includes an open kitchen and dining room with a traditional wood-burning oven, a patio, and a nearby falafel stand called Falafel Nation offering grab-and-go hummus, platters, pita, and vegetarian street foods.

Baum, who was born and raised in Israel, is also opening Rina at Ford Factory Lofts next to Ponce City Market just off the Eastside BeltLine trail. The more casual restaurant opens this fall with a menu centering around quick bites and lighter fare like skewers, pita sandwiches, falafel, and salads.
Aziza joins Forza Storico from the owners of Storico Fresco and chef Zeb Stevenson’s Redbird at WSPD. Both should open this summer.
