Gunshow chef Kevin Gillespie’s Ole Reliable breakfast and lunch counter is now open inside the 52-story Georgia-Pacific building on Peachtree Street downtown. Breakfast begins at 7 a.m., with lunch starting at 10:30 a.m. The kiosk remains open to the public through 3 p.m.
Baked eggs topped with cheddar, roasted poblano peppers, bacon, and caramelized onions and a smoked gouda grit bowl with prosciutto, mushrooms, and a fried egg are among the short list of breakfast items.
Ole Reliable also offers open-faced sandwiches (aka fancy toasts) on Root Baking Co. bread such as mascarpone with strawberry-mint preserves on the sweeter side or smoked salmon with Duke’s mayo, topped with an egg, radish, celery, and sweet herbs for the savory side. Sandwiches are available all day.
Lunch highlights three hearty salads and soups, including a take on Italian wedding soup consisting of hot Italian sausage, potatoes, and kale.
In addition to food, Ole Reliable serves coffee and coffee drinks using beans from Old Fourth Ward roastery Docent, cold brew coffee, and teas to drink.

Gillespie plans to open beer garden and restaurant Cold Beer on Thursday, July 4 along the Eastside Beltline. It’s his first full-service restaurant since opening Revival in Decatur four years ago. Gillespie nabbed chef Brian Baxter, previously of Husk-Nashville, to lead the kitchen at Cold Beer.
