Another brewery plans to open in the Underwood Hills neighborhood in Westside
Round Trip Brewing is apparently seeking to acquire property along Seaboard Industrial Boulevard on the edge of the northwest Atlanta neighborhood of Underwood Hills, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle. The brewery’s Instagram account states they hope to open sometime early next year. Round Trip is located between Atlanta Brewing Company and Second Self Beer in the neighborhood, which will also include a second location of Scofflaw Brewing at the Chattahoochee Food Works. Celebrity restaurateur and host of Bizarre Foods Andrew Zimmern is the food hall’s “culinary advisor”. Steady Hand Beer just opened earlier this year along Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard off of Chattahoochee Avenue in Blandtown. [ABC]
Caravaca Market in midtown closes
International restaurant and food market Caravaca Market closed on Tuesday, July 2, along Peachtree Street near Tech Square, What Now Atlanta reports. Owner chef Harry Pagancoss says the two-year-old market “simply did not resonate” with Atlantans despite the restaurant-market model working well in cities like New York and Miami. [WNA]
All-male strip club Swinging Richards adding female dancers during the day
The all-male strip club Swinging Richards on Northside Drive in the northwest Atlanta neighborhood of Berkeley Park plans to add 20 daytime-only female dancers to the lineup by the end of the month, Project Q reports. It’s meant to increase revenue at the club, which owes over $1.65 million to creditors and to several former dancers who sued Swinging Richards for unpaid wages. [ProjectQ]
