It looks like the restaurant portion of JenChan’s Supper Delivery Club may open by mid-September in the former Mouth of the South space on Cabbagetown’s Carroll Street, co-owner Emily Chan says. Chan owns the restaurant and delivery service with her wife and business partner, Jen Chan.

The couple is already preparing meals for JenChan’s “mostly Southern, mainly Asian” online delivery service in the kitchen at their new Cabbagetown space. JenChan’s will eventually include a full service restaurant as well as a small market offering fresh and frozen prepared meals and other local food and goods.

The Chan’s provided a quick video update on the renovation progress at JenChan’s Restaurant and Market on Facebook over the weekend.

JenChan’s restaurant menu should remain similar to the online supper club — expect to see dishes like pork tenderloin with a honey soy glaze, Chinese fried chicken wings, salmon niçoise, black bean spare ribs, and mushroom trio stuffed tofu on Carroll Street.

The Chan’s shared love of cooking and dinner parties served as inspiration for JenChan’s Supper Club. Fully-prepared meals for up to eight people, soups, and appetizers are ordered online, with deliveries taking place the following Tuesday and Wednesday.
