A fourth location of soup and sandwich shop Souper Jenny is now open on Atlanta Street in Roswell, behind the Red Door Playhouse and Roswell Visitor’s Center. According to a post on Facebook, the shop served nearly 600 lunches during its first two days in business last week.
Souper Jenny’s menu features daily-made soups, sandwiches, and salads created by chef and owner Jenny Levison, with produce coming from the restaurant’s one-acre farm in Westside and other local food purveyors.
“I am always looking for unique spots in the community where I feel a local restaurateur will be welcomed, and Roswell seems like a natural fit,” Levison told Eater Atlanta last June of the decision to open in Roswell.
The Roswell Souper Jenny also includes plenty of parking.
In February, Levison closed her Decatur shop after five years citing the city’s high rents and ongoing parking issues as factors for the decision. She isn’t ruling out relocating elsewhere in Decatur, and is considering locations in Vinings and at the airport.
In addition to Roswell, Souper Jenny has locations in Blandtown on Huff Road, at the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead, and in Brookhaven.
