Grab free samples at Colony Square’s new sushi and poke restaurant Sukoshi
The Charlotte-based sushi and poke restaurant Sukoshi, now planning to open in September, is popping up outside O-Ku on Howell Mill Road and at Colony Square’s “Street Eats” in Midtown next week. Grab samples from the Sukoshi cart at O-Ku on Tuesday, August 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at Colony Square on Thursday, August 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Once open at Colony Square, Sukoshi will serve dumplings, buns, specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigiri as well as a 30-minute, five-course omakase for $30 at its sushi bar. Black Gurl Brunch Club finally opens in College Park
Black Gurl Brunch Club, owned WE’s Hustle and Soul reality TV stars chef Lawrence Page and Ana Lavender, is finally open on Virginia Avenue in College Park after permitting delays, the AJC reports. The restaurant resides in the former Pig & the Pint space. According to the website, the menu consists of “fresh spins on Southern staples” like a stuffed biscuit waffle and pork chop and eggs and serves bottomless mimosas and other breakfast cocktails. Clean Juice opens Saturday at Westside Village on Marietta Boulevard
Fresh-pressed juice shop Clean Juice opens on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the new Westside Village complex on Marietta Boulevard in the Bolton neighborhood, What Now Atlanta reports. In addition to pressed juices, the shop serves smoothies, grain bowls, toasts, and salads. A grand opening celebration takes place on Saturday, September 7. Coffee shop Daily Dose will open at Reynoldstown’s Madison Yards
Coffee shop Daily Dose by The Merchant plans to open at the Madison Yards development currently under construction along Memorial Drive and Bill Kennedy Way in Reynoldstown, according to Tomorrow’s News Today. Daily Dose, owned by Dan Collier, serves coffee and coffee drinks using Stumptown Coffee beans and baked goods from Alon’s Bakery. It also includes items from Collier’s local goods market The Merchant, which has locations on Marietta Street, in Buckhead, and at Krog Street Market. [ToNT]
