Surf and turf restaurant Ocean and Acre opens later this fall at the 135-acre Halcyon development in southern Forsyth County off of Turner McDonald Parkway. While technically inside the boundaries of Forsyth County, Halcyon carries an Alpharetta address.

The restaurant, located in “a contemporary barn-like building” in the development, plans to serve meats like smoked lamb belly and a 22-ounce ribeye steak, vegetables dishes including truffle-smoked corn fritters, and seafood and shellfish dishes such as striped bass, smoked octopus, butter poached lobster, and clam tagliatelle. East and West coast oysters, seafood towers, crudo, and peel and eat shrimp are offered at the raw bar.

A covered patio in front of the restaurant includes a fireplace and opens to an outdoor lounge and lawn game area with an “infinity” water feature.

A second outpost of Cherry Street Brewpub and a handful of other restaurants swing open for business at Halcyon and its food hall on Wednesday, September 18. Once fully open, Halcyon will eventually include 14 restaurants and foods stalls. Other full-service restaurants opening later this year are a second location of Alpharetta’s Butcher and Brew, dine-in movie theater Cinebistro, and brunch spot Never Enough Thyme.
