A third location of Slutty Vegan and its line-inducing meatless burgers heads to the Old Fourth Ward by early next year, the Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported. Details are scarce, but the wildly popular Westview vegan burger restaurant plans to open on Edgewood Avenue next door to Edgewood Pizza.
Owner Pinky Cole announced her second Slutty Vegan location, planned for the south metro Atlanta city of Jonesboro, in June. That location could open this fall. According to a story published Tuesday, August 6, on the online features site the Bitter Southerner, Cole also just inked a deal for a reality television show and is now franchising Slutty Vegan.
Cole founded Slutty Vegan as a delivery service last August. People contacted her via Instagram to place their burger orders. Cole’s provocatively named versions of the Impossible Burger like the “One Night Stand” and “Ménage à Trois” quickly amassed a cult following, eventually leading to a food truck and late night pop-ups around Atlanta’s historic Westside. Even then, lines formed before the truck arrived on site.
In January, the Clark Atlanta University graduate and entrepreneur opened her first restaurant on Ralph David Abernathy. Slutty Vegan sold over 1,200 meat-free burgers on its first day in business in the Westview neighborhood. Seven months later, lines continue to snake around the block. Slutty Vegan’s food truck still rolls around town, announcing its next location at 3 p.m. each day on Instagram.
Eater Atlanta reached out for further details on the Edgewood Avenue location.
