Missing dishes like tea smoked duck, spicy and sour glass noodles, and cumin lamb from the former Gu’s Bistro on Buford Highway? Gu’s Kitchen, the latest Sichuan restaurant from the beloved bistro’s owners, just created a lengthy special menu filled with customer-requested dishes and popular favorites from its former restaurant.
Gu’s posted its growing list of specials to Instagram and Facebook, which now includes nearly 30 dishes beyond the regular menu.
The restaurant, owned by Yvonne Gu Khan and her father Chef Gu, has steadily added Gu’s Bistro dishes to its specials menu since opening in November at the Orient Center on Buford Highway in Chamblee.
Take a look at the specials:

The opening of the new restaurant marked the return of Gu’s to Buford Highway, following the closure of Gu’s Bistro in 2015. The family went on to open Gu’s Dumplings at Krog Street Market later that same year.
Gu’s Kitchen is a mix of the Krog Street food stall, new dishes, and Gu’s Bistro’s greatest hits, including the popular chengdu cold noodles, Zhong-style dumplings, crispy fish filet with peanuts and red chile peppers, and spicy dry fried eggplant.
Open Tuesday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 pm.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
