A second and intown location of the recently opened Avondale Estates Vietnamese restaurant Vietvana opens later this year on Spring Street in Midtown.

Owners Dinh Tran and Khanh Dang announced the opening Wednesday morning on Vietvana’s Facebook page.

“For those of you who already can’t get enough of us, we’ve got some great news. We’re opening our second location, near Georgia Tech, at 848 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30308 later this year. Additional details coming soon!”

The planned location is one block north of the Centergy One complex, also home to the Canteen mini food hall.

It seems this second restaurant may not be the only location of Vietvana in the works for Atlanta. The restaurant’s website indicates more locations are possible.

Eater Atlanta reached out for further details on the Spring Street location.

Prior to opening Vietvana in Avondale Estates, Tran and Dang spent months working to perfect the restaurant’s pho noodle and banh mi bread recipes. Noodles are made fresh daily and pho is prepared as it’s done in Vietnam, with broth cooking by 3 a.m. The couple worked with a local French bakery to develop Vietvana’s banh mi baguette batter for sandwiches on the menu.

In addition to pho and banh mi, Vietvana offers appetizers such as pork and shrimp spring rolls and Hue-style beef and pork meatballs in a sweet tomato garlic sauce, salads like the fiery papaya salad, a selection of bún (rice vermicelli noodles), and cơm (rice) dishes, including fried rice and broken rice.

Tran and Dang also own Khanh Vietnamese Pho and Sandwich in the north metro Atlanta city of Duluth.
