Hattie Marie’s Texas Style BBQ and Cajun Kitchen, based in College Park, expands with three new metro Atlanta locations this year, the AJC reports. Owners Willie Griggie and Ramona Griggie are eyeing the cities of Duluth, Decatur, and Stockbridge for the new restaurants.
The Griggie’s also plan to expand Hattie Marie’s beyond Atlanta, with franchises throughout the country.
Hattie Marie’s serves pit-smoked brisket and pork platters and sandwiches, pork ribs (cooked over cherry wood), sausage links, smoked wings, and Cajun-style fried catfish and shrimp.
Eater Atlanta reached out for more details on the new locations, including the addresses.
Hattie Marie’s opened on Main Street in College Park three years ago. Willie Griggie, who is originally from Port Arthur in southeast Texas, named the restaurant after his late mother, who owned Pie Face Bakery and inspired him to continue her cooking legacy.
