Ted’s Montana Grill is open on Marietta Boulevard
A new location of Atlanta-based restaurant chain Ted’s Montana Grill, founded by media mogul Ted Turner, is now open at Westside Village at Moores Mill on Marietta Boulevard. The opening marks the 12th Ted’s Montana Grill location in Georgia, most of which are found in Atlanta’s northern suburbs. The Westside Village restaurant features a bar with folding windows opening onto a ground floor patio, along with shared rooftop space. For those unfamiliar with Ted’s menu, expect steakhouse fare like American bison and beef burgers, a variety of steak cuts, salads, and a small selection of chicken and seafood dishes. H&W Steakhouse is opening in Peachtree Corners
Norsan Restaurants, the group behind Frontera Mexican, Luciano’s Ristorante Italiano, and Pampas Steakhouse, opens H&W Steakhouse early next year in the former Black Walnut Cafe space on Peachtree Parkway. H&W Steakhouse “will combine the elegance and quality” of the group’s Pampas and Frankie’s steakhouses “with a young and modern ambiance” in Peachtree Corners. Chef Charles Schwab leads the kitchen at H&W. Schwab’s previous restaurant work includes stints at Buckhead Diner, Blue Ridge Grill, Bacchanalia, and Grace 17.20. [Official]
An Alpharetta location of Taffer’s Tavern opens in November
Bar Rescue star Jon Taffer opens a location of his eponymous restaurant franchise Taffer’s Tavern in Alpharetta on November 19, according to a press release. Taffer’s Tavern is “inspired by the quintessential neighborhood pub,” serving burgers, flatbreads, and sandwiches, including a pork belly BLT, a slow-braised 72-hour short rib with mac and cheese, and a take on poutine called Tot Roast Fries topped with shredded beef, mushroom béchamel sauce, and cheese curds. In addition to beer and wine, look for cocktails like the Campfire using Taffer’s brown butter rye whiskey or the Berry-Impressive made with fruit-infused vodka served with fresh berries in a French press.
