Slim and Husky’s Starts Slinging Its Hip-Hop-Inspired Pizzas in Adair Park Next Month

The second Atlanta location of Nashville-based Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria opens on Metropolitan Parkway in Adair Park on Friday, March 20. A grand opening block party is planned for Saturday, March 21, according to the pizzeria’s social media pages.

The first Atlanta location of the popular North Nashville pizzeria, owned by college friends Clinton Gray, Derrick Moore, and Emanuel Reed, opened along Howell Mill Road last May. It took over the former One Rooster space at the 1016 Lofts complex.

Gray previously told Eater Atlanta that the Metropolitan Parkway location would remain open late and include a takeout window to better serve students attending nearby Morehouse, Spelman, and Clark-Atlanta University.

Slim and Husky’s serves pizzas inspired by 1990s Hip-Hop and R&B artists, like the pepperoni-laden pie Rony, Roni, Rone! for the group Tony! Toni! Toné! or the Cee No Green, which pays tribute to crooner CeeLo Green from Atlanta-based Goodie Mob. The red sauce pizza is topped with ground beef, pepperoni, hickory smoked bacon, Canadian bacon, and Italian sausage.

In addition to pizzas, Slim and Husky’s also offers pastas, salads, and cinnamon rolls as well as a selection of mostly local beers on tap.
