Superfood-heavy Upbeet at the Ironworks will soon have competition on Howell Mill Road. A third Atlanta location of health-conscious (and super Instagrammable) Flower Child plans to open this summer across the street at Westside Provisions District, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle. It takes up residence in the former J. Crew space at the complex.
Much like Upbeet, Recess at Krog Street Market, and Vitality Bowl in Alpharetta, the menu at Flower Child focuses on superfood, grain, and vegetable-based bowls, plates, wraps, and salads. Expect avocado “hummus”, a Vietnamese crunch bowl with greens, quinoa, peppers, and cashews, and Madras curry consisting of potatoes, carrots, green beans, onions, garam masala, and coconut.
Most dishes on the menu cater to people living gluten free, paleo, vegetarian, and vegan lifestyles.
Flower Child’s beverages include daily-made lemonades, Atlanta’s Golda Kombucha, and a selection of wine and local beers at the Buckhead and Sandy Springs locations.

Flower Child joins a recently reinvigorated dining scene at Westside Provisions District. Tal Baum opened “modern Israeli” restaurant Aziza in July, followed by the opening of chef Zeb Stevenson’s Redbird a month later. The team behind Buckhead’s Storico Fresco opened Roman Italian restaurant Forza Storico in October.
Mushi Ni, the Asian-American comfort food stall run by chefs Tanya Jimenez and Michael Le inside East Atlanta’s We Suki Suki, began a year-long kitchen residency last month at Little Trouble beneath Marcel at the complex.
