All-day breakfast restaurant Snooze an A.M. Eatery opens at the Osprey complex currently under construction on Howell Mill Road, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle. A Sandy Springs location of the Denver-based chain is also set to open sometime this year at the Gateway development along Roswell Road.
Snooze-Westside will eventually reside at the corner of 10th Street and Howell Mill, across from the forthcoming second location of Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. The restaurant typically serves breakfast and brunch daily from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The menu is broken up into sections, including egg dishes, like huevos rancheros and a breakfast pot pie, Benedicts and omelettes, sandwiches, and a selection of pancakes and pancake flights.
This particular portion of Howell Mill Road is undergoing a massive streetscape and skyline transformation, with multiple mixed-use complexes going up between 14th and 8th streets. The Osprey adds an additional 13,000-square-feet of restaurants and retail to Howell Mill, and joins other large developments under construction, such as the block-wide, 200,000-square-foot Interlock across from Westside Provisions District and Star Metals.
The city recently restriped the traffic-choked lanes from Huff Road to Brady Avenue, adding a turn-only lane heading soundbound at 14th. After 14th Street, there is now a new suicide lane and only one southbound lane. Construction along the corridor has also closed the majority of what little sidewalks were available on Howell Mill Road between 14th and 8th streets.
