Taqueria Del Sol reopens Atlanta locations for takeout only
After closing all four Atlanta Taqueria Del Sol locations two weeks ago due to the impending peak in COVID-19 cases expected in the state, chef Eddie Hernandez, along with co-owner Mike Klank and managers George Trusler and Steve Shields, reopen the restaurants today for takeout only. The dining rooms remain closed, as do the patios for outdoor dining. Taqueria Del Sol was offering takeout service prior to the mid-April closures. Check Instagram for updates. [Instagram]
Georgia Grille closes after 30 years in Buckhead
Longtime Buckhead restaurant Georgia Grille — named for artist Georgia O’Keefe — closes after 30 years at the Peachtree Square shopping center. Owner Karen Hilliard made the announcement on Facebook Monday. No reason was given for the closure or if the statewide COVID-19 dining room shutdown contributed to the decision. Several pieces of restaurant memorabilia are now listed for sale, including an antique Coca Cola cooler for $15,000 and a writing desk for $3,500. [Facebook]

Chai Pani plans to sell prepared dishes like packs of samosas, curries including butter chicken and saag paneer, and its beverages such as the restaurant’s mango and sweet lassis. More information coming Monday. [Official]
