Louisiana-based daiquiri chain Fat Tuesday is opening a location at The Battery complex, near Braves Truist Park, according to a press release. Fat Tuesday, known for its New Orleans-style frozen daiquiris, opens at the Cobb County development this summer.
The bar, which includes a walk-up window selling to-go daiquiris and other drinks, is located at the corner of Battery Walk and Legends Place, across from chef Hector Santiago’s Latin sandwich shop, El Super Pan.
As for the menu, look for Fat Tuesday to serve daiquiris and other frozen drinks like the New Orleans Hurricane, pina colada, margaritas, and other customizable flavored frozen concoctions served in souvenir cups of varying sizes.
Since opening its first location in Atlanta 36 years ago, Fat Tuesdays has grown to include over 20 locations throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Honduras.
Asian street food hall Ph’east opened at the Battery in late January, right before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the complex in mid-March. The Battery and its restaurants and bars began slowly reopening to the public last month during what should be the height of Braves baseball season at the complex. The 2020 Major League Baseball season is currently suspended due to the ongoing health crisis and a contract dispute between ball club owners and players.
