Chef Brian So launches a curbside takeout service from his critically acclaimed restaurant Spring in Marietta on Tuesday, July 28. Earlier in the month, So temporarily closed the dining room for a second time since March due to a surge in COVID-19 cases, but promised the restaurant would be back up and running soon with a new takeout menu.
Called “Spring at Home”, the to-go service from the restaurant includes both meal kits to prepare at home and fully-prepared, ready-to-eat meals.
“Each bag is a single meal that you can order a la cart[e] just as if you were ordering in our dining room,” a post to Facebook reads. “Along with these meal kits, we will offer one hot and ready-to-eat meal that will change every week or two.”
Expect the menu to feature prepared soups and salads, such as a chicken Caesar, along with entrees like grilled salmon on a bed of couscous, fresh-baked bread, and sides. There’s also an option to purchase wines from the restaurant to pair with weekly menus and meal kits.
Online ordering could kick off as soon as this weekend. People are asked to follow Spring on Facebook for continued updates on the new curbside takeout service and for weekly menus.

Prior to the July closure, Spring had reduced its already small dining room down to just five tables due to social distancing concerns caused by the ongoing health crisis. Prepaid reservations were required to dine at Spring, which served an eight-course tasting menu. A reopening date for the dining room has not been announced.
So opened Spring over four years ago just off of Marietta’s historic town square. The chef’s beautifully composed dishes tend to showcase the seasons and are meant to pair with the restaurant’s mostly biodynamic and natural wine list.
