Con Leche coffee bar, owned by Ivan Romero, opens along Flat Shoals Road in Reynoldstown this October. According to the press release, the 400-square-foot coffee shop hopes to provide the neighborhood “affordable specialty coffee” using beans from Decatur-based Radio Roasters and baked goods from Root Baking Co.
Expect regular drip and ice coffees to hover around the $2.50 mark, with other coffee drinks, like lattes and cappuccinos, priced at around $3.50. Con Leche plans to offer a weekly $10 membership option, which includes unlimited coffee and discounts on espresso drinks.
Once open, the shop should operate mainly as a grab-and-go spot and feature the ability to order coffee and baked goods online for takeout.
Romero, who immigrated to the United States from Colombia as a refugee when he was a small child, has previously worked with restaurant delivery service UberEats, as well as with other digital start-up companies.
