A new ice cream shop called Where’s the Scoop opens today at Alpharetta City Center, behind Smokejack BBQ. This is the second location of the Thai-inspired rolled ice cream cafe, owned by Zak Khimji and Zein Rahemtulla. The original location resides along Haynes Bridge Road in the city of Johns Creek, east of Alpharetta.
In addition to rolled ice cream made using dairy from Georgia-based Mountain Fresh Creamery, Khimji says the new shop also serves several flavors of bubble tea, coffee and coffee drinks, cakes, and sells local honey. Where’s the Scoop also offers vegan rolled ice cream flavors created from peas and with no added sugars. People can choose from the shop’s set menu of rolled ice creams paired with toppings and mix-ins or create their own concoctions.
Both the Johns Creek and Alpharetta locations are currently open for takeout only. Where’s the Scoop in Johns Creek offers delivery via UberEats, Postmates, and GrubHub.
A third Where’s the Scoop location should open along the Eastside Beltline across from Piedmont Park in Midtown later this year, barring further permitting delays caused by the ongoing health crisis.
You are invited! Come celebrate the opening of our second store located in downtown Alpharetta. Friday 8/21 6-10:00pm...
