Grindhouse Killer Burgers closes the stall at Sweet Auburn Curb Market

The Atlanta-based burger chain closed its original location after 11 years inside the Sweet Auburn Curb Market on Edgewood Avenue. A post on Instagram did not indicate a reason for the closure of the burger counter. However, owner Alex Brounstein just opened his seventh Grindhouse location in Brookhaven earlier this month and a Memorial Drive restaurant opened two years ago on the edge of Grant Park.

Wheelhouse Craft Pub and Kitchen opens Monday in Decatur

Wheelhouse Craft Pub and Kitchen opens Monday, August 31, in the former Maddy’s Rib Joint and Old Hickory Inn Barbecue space on Scott Boulevard, the AJC reports. Owned by Ian and Kathryn Macken (Meehan’s) and Robert and Stef Macken, the menu at Wheelhouse features soups and salads, sandwiches, fish tacos, a burger, and larger entrees such as pan-seared salmon or Guinness beef stew. The bar offers 16 beers on draft, wine and cocktails. Opening for dine-in service and takeout. [AJC]

Check out the vegan and vegetarian food trucks at Atlanta Food Truck Park this weekend

The Atlanta Food Truck Park, which rebranded last year to only host vegan and vegetarian food trucks, continues its weekly weekend events, starting with the Kickback on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday nights include live music or a DJ, several food trucks, and drinks. Masks are required. On Saturdays the park is open for curbside service and takeout beginning at 2 p.m. Triton Yards food truck park in Capitol View typically hosts Saturday evening movie nights on its patio. This Saturday, Triton Yards plans to screen “Black Panther” at 9 p.m. Masks are required when not eating or drinking.

SkyView Ferris wheel in downtown Atlanta is getting a bar

The 20-story Ferris wheel is apparently getting its own bar, according to What Now Atlanta. Called SkyBar at SkyView, the bar’s alcohol concessions will be managed by Complete Beverage Systems, Inc. No ETA as to when SkyBar, located in a fenced area near the Ferris wheel, plans to open in downtown Atlanta. [WNA]
