The Atlanta-based burger chain closed its original location after 11 years inside the Sweet Auburn Curb Market on Edgewood Avenue. A post on Instagram did not indicate a reason for the closure of the burger counter. However, owner Alex Brounstein just opened his seventh Grindhouse location in Brookhaven earlier this month and a Memorial Drive restaurant opened two years ago on the edge of Grant Park.

Bittersweet Moment Alert! Last week we bid farewell to our very first Grindhouse Killer Burgers location at @thecurbmarket. Reminiscing back on our humble beginnings as a small burger counter, we can’t help but be thankful all to the wonderful vendors, staff, and customers who helped grow us to where we are today 11 years later, now all grown up with 7 locations. But fear not! #GrindhouseMemorial is just around the corner from our original, with slightly better hours (and booze). Cheers to the past, present, and future of Grindhouse!
