The Brookhaven location of Grindhouse Killer Burgers opens Friday, August 7, at the Dresden Pointe development, behind the Brookhaven MARTA station. For now, Grindhouse-Brookhaven will only be open for takeout and delivery via DoorDash. To-go orders can be placed online or through the Grindhouse mobile app. Like the Decatur location, the Brookhaven restaurant also includes a 21-and-up rooftop bar.
Owner Alex Brounstein told Eater Atlanta in 2018 he had long been eyeing the city of Brookhaven to open a new Grindhouse restaurant. However, opening the restaurant during a pandemic wasn’t part of the plan.
“Throughout the years we’ve had far more requests for expansion from the Brookhaven neighborhood than by any other,” Brounstein says in the press release. “We recognize there is a lot going on in the world right now, it goes without saying that first and foremost, Grindhouse aims to keep our staff, customers and community safe in the face of COVID-19, and we are doing all we can to do our part by keeping our dining room and patio closed for the time being.”
Masks are required inside all Grindhouse restaurant locations and patrons are asked to use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. The restaurants do not accept cash.
Brounstein opened his last Grindhouse burger joint on Memorial Drive in Grant Park two years ago. That location and the Piedmont Heights restaurant are currently open for takeout and delivery. Grindhouse-Decatur is open for takeout and delivery and limited dine-in service on the rooftop patio. The dining room remains closed.
Open 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Closed Tuesdays.
