After launching their long-planned wine shop online in July, the owners behind Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante and Forza Storico have finally landed a permanent location for Storico Vino. The Italian wine bar opens later this fall in the former Corso Coffee space at Buckhead Village (formerly the Shops Buckhead,) according to a press release.
Storico Vino has been in the works for Pietro Gianni, Stephen Peterson, and chef Michael Patrick for months prior to the pandemic, and was scheduled to open earlier this year. The trio put those plans on hold in March while they worked to stabilize Storico Fresco in Buckhead and Forza Storico at Westside Provisions District during the first few weeks of the health crisis.
Once open, Storico Vino will feature a covered patio and a large bar surrounded by high-top seating and dining tables, similar to the bar area found at Forza Storico.
Wines will be available by the bottle and glass at the bar as well as for retail purchase. Patrick plans to serve wine-friendly fare at Storico Vino, with charcuterie and cheese boards, shareable pasta dishes, appetizers, and paninis on the menu. For now, people can continue to order bottles of wine online for delivery or pick-up at Storico Fresco.
Both Storico Fresco and Forza Storico are open for limited dine-in and patio service. Order online for takeout. Masks are required at the restaurants when not seated at a table. Curbside service is available upon request.
