Castleberry Hill popcorn shop Indulge Gourmet Popcorn opens a second location this spring at Krog Street Market, What Now Atlanta first reported. The popcorn shop takes over the space formerly occupied by Mama Bath and Body at the market, next door to Gu’s Dumplings.
Owner Amy Tyler first opened Indulge Gourmet Popcorn on Peters Street in Castleberry Hill three years ago. The shop sells a variety of popcorn flavors and mixtures, including caramel and cheddar, white chocolate, vegan butter, and weekly flavor specials. People can also create their own popcorn mixtures by choosing up to three flavors.
Indulge Gourmet Popcorn is currently only open for takeout and curbside pick-up during the pandemic. Masks are required inside the Castleberry Hill shop.
The popcorn stall won’t be the only new addition to the market this year. Chef Todd Richards, cookbook author and co-owner of Lake & Oak Neighborhood BBQ in East Lake, plans to open his latest venture Soul: Food & Culture soon. The soul food stall replaces Richards’ Southern Fried at Krog Street Market and will serve a variety of wings, fried catfish and chicken sandwiches, and salmon croquettes paired with sides like Brussels sprout slaw and smoked chicken collards.
