The Big Midtown Promenade Redo Now Includes Three New Restaurants

Beltline-adjacent locations of Yumbii, the Queso Shop, and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery are opening in 2022 at Midtown Promenade

Add locations of Korean taco and burrito restaurant Yumbii, takeout restaurant the Queso Shop, and all-day brunch restaurant Snooze, an A.M. Eatery to the list of new establishments opening at Midtown Promenade in 2022.

Earlier in December, chef Pat Pascarella (the White Bull, Grana) announced he was opening oyster and seafood bar Alici in the former Frogs Cantina, which closed at the Monroe Drive complex last December.

Part of a multi-million-dollar renovation of the Midtown shopping center, SRS Real Estate Partners and Charlotte-based Asana Partners plan to add a pedestrian walkway and breezeway connecting to the Eastside Beltline and create green space flanking the exterior of the complex. New restaurants and retail are also part of the major revamp plans.

This will be the third Atlanta-area location of Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. Locations are open in Sandy Springs and on Howell Mill Road at the Osprey development. The Denver-based chain is known for its breakfast pot pie, pancakes flights, and Benedict and omelettes.

Midtown Promenade becomes the fourth location of Yumbii in Atlanta and the third location of its sister restaurant the Queso Shop. Yumbii includes locations in Brookwood Hills and Toco Hills. A location of the Queso Shop is slated to open next door to Yumbii at the Toco Hill Shopping Center soon, with locations of both restaurants planned for the Publix-anchored Moores Mill Shopping Center early next year.

Asana Partners acquired Midtown Promenade in 2019, home to Midtown Art Cinema, Trader Joe’s, the Highlander, MetroFresh, Desi Spice Indian Cuisine, and Apres Diem. Asana also owns Krog Street Market and the Atlanta Stove Works as well as the Plaza Theatre complex along Ponce de Leon Avenue, where chef Joey Ward’s restaurants Southern Belle and Georgia Boy reside.

All three retail properties are undergoing renovations to include new restaurants and retail shops over the coming year.
