Sinaloan-style chicken restaurant Pollo Supremo, owned by chef Duane Kulers of Supremo Taco, is now open in East Atlanta. The restaurant takes over the former Bento Mac Hibachi Box Wings and Sushi space on Moreland Avenue, just south of Hodgepodge Coffeehouse.
Kulers plans to lead the kitchens at both Pollo Supremo and Supremo Taco.
Partnering again with chef Nhan Le (Octopus Bar, 8ARM), the menu at Pollo Supremo features quarter, half, and whole roast birds served with fresh tortillas. Pair sides like rice and beans, street corn, chicken soup, and churros with chicken prepared in the Sinaloan style, which Kulers butterflies and marinates in morita chile, citrus, and a selection of spices.

Drinks at Pollo Supremo include aguas frescas and horchata, along with margaritas and beer, once the restaurant receives its liquor license. Alcohol is not currently served at Supremo Taco on Memorial Drive.
A large patio seating around 40 people anchors the counter-service restaurant, which also offers 12 additional seats inside in the form of old school, fast food restaurant booths. Pollo Supremo will eventually feature a drive-thru, too.
Eater reached out to representatives for Pollo Supremo Tuesday evening for more details. Check back for updates to this story. Take a look at the menu here.
Kulers and Le opened LA-style taco stand Supremo Taco together in 2019 across from Grindhouse Killer Burgers on the edge of Grant Park. Operating as a walk-up window, Supremo serves a selection of tacos, like al pastor, mole poblano with chicken, and barbacoa, snacks such as a choriqueso and churros, and daily soup specials.
With limited seating outside on the front deck, it’s not uncommon to find people setting up picnics by their cars in the parking lot.
