A Shake Shack is headed to Piedmont Park
Another location of Danny Meyer-back burger chain Shake Shack apparently opens on the outskirts of Piedmont Park in Midtown. According to Atlanta Business Chronicle, this latest location will open inside a currently vacant space beside the Piedmont Park Conservancy’s community center and Willy’s Mexicana Grill. The building resides near the 12th Street entrance to the park. Demolition has already begun on the space, but no details were provided on an opening date. This would be the sixth location overall in metro Atlanta. Shake Shack currently operates locations in Buckhead, the Perimeter, the Old Fourth Ward, and on Concourse A at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. A fifth location with a drive-thru opens later this year in a former Burger King along Haynes Bridge Road in Alpharetta. [ABC]
