Check Out These Three Recent Restaurant Openings Around Atlanta

From a ghost kitchen facility with a slew of restaurants in West End to a neighborhood bistro in the Old Fourth Ward

Beth McKibben is the editor and staff reporter for Eater Atlanta and has been covering food and cocktails locally and regionally for 12 years.

Oak Street Eats

West End, 777 Oak Street SW

Like Forrest Neighborhood Eatery in Berkeley Park, this ghost kitchen facility features several virtual restaurants offering pick-up and delivery through third party delivery service apps like UberEats, Postmates, and DoorDash. Food offered from restaurants at Oak Street Eats ranges from soul food dishes, cheesesteaks, and peri peri chicken to vegan fare, wings, and hot dogs and brats. Order online. Masks required for pick-up at Oak Street Eats.

Botica

Brookwood Hills, 1820 Peachtree Road NW

Chef Mimmo Alboumeh, the former owner of Red Pepper Taqueria, opened Botica in the former Watershed space on Peachtree Road. The chef melds some of the more savory dishes he created for the menu at Red Pepper Taqueria with flavors and ingredients in dishes reminiscent of those he grew up eating while living in Lebanon, Italy, and Spain. Look for a wide selection of tacos on the menu here, including lamb birria and falafel, along with Spanish octopus, grilled chorizo potatoes, and churros.

Highland Bistro

Old Fourth Ward, 701 Highland Ave NE

Isaac White and Anthony Singleton opened Highland Bistro at the corner of Highland Avenue and Sampson Street in the Old Fourth Ward. The somewhat troubled space has been home to a number of restaurants over the past six years, including P’cheen, Last Word, Cast Iron, the Barrelhouse, and most recently Chef’d Up. The menu features burgers and hot dogs, entrees such as shrimp and grits, and a selection of vegan dishes. White and Singleton want to become part of the neighborhood, which includes eventually hosting nonprofit events, live music, and weekly trivia nights at Highland Bistro. Another initiative they hope to kick off involves offering breakfast dishes on the menu benefiting area nonprofits. Take a look at the menu below. Masks required.
