The owners behind Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante and Forza Storico opened their latest venture together, an Italian wine bar at Buckhead Village. Currently open for dinner and drinks, Storico Vino takes over the former Corso Coffee space at the luxury retail complex on Peachtree Road. Lunch service begins in the coming weeks.
Storico Vino has been in the works for Pietro Gianni, Stephen Peterson, and chef Michael Patrick several months prior to the pandemic and was scheduled to open in mid-2020. The trio put those plans on hold last March and worked to stabilize Storico Fresco in Buckhead and Forza Storico at Westside Provisions District during the first few weeks of the health crisis. Storico Vino launched as on online Italian wine shop in July while construction on the bar continued in Buckhead.

With 60 seats inside between high-top tables and dining tables and 40 seats outside on the covered patio, the menu for Storico Vino leans into wine-friendly dishes like charcuterie and cheese boards, oysters, crudo, bruschetta platters, and shareable pastas. Wines can be ordered by the bottle and the glass. A selection of Italian and classic cocktails as well as Italian beers and ciders are also available at the bar.
Plans are underway at Storico Fresco to construct six on-street seating compartments at the restaurant along Grandview Avenue. Earlier this year, the Atlanta City Council unanimously approved an ordinance permitting restaurants and bars to expand outdoor seating into parking spaces directly in front of or adjacent to establishments.
Current hours: Sunday, Tuesday - Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Masks required. Takeout not available.
