Atlanta-based New Realm Brewing Company opens a distillery in Savannah this spring producing London dry gin, Tennessee-style bourbon, and vodka. Like the Atlanta location, its Whitaker Street facility in Savannah also includes a restaurant, brewery, tasting room, and rooftop patio on the third floor. It’s unclear which New Realm beers will be produced on-site in Savannah.
New Realm already sells its gin, bourbon, and vodka out of the Atlanta location on Somerset Terrace. Co-founder Carey Falcone says in a press release the company has seen “tremendous demand” for the spirits since beginning production two years ago and that opening a distillery in Savannah allows them to expand production.
Founded in 2016 by Falcone, Bob Powers, and brew master Mitch Steele, New Realm Brewing opened in 2018 in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood along the Eastside Beltline producing IPAs, lagers, and barrel-aged beers. The brewery complex features a dining room and bar offering pub food, a lower level patio, a beer garden with fire pits set along the BeltLine, and a rooftop patio with skyline views. A second production facility and restaurant opened that same year in Virginia Beach.
