Hot dog stand Screamin’ Weenies launches on the back patio of East Atlanta Village restaurant Banshee Thursday, March 25. During the pandemic, the takeout restaurant only offers lunch on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with limited seating on the patio once people receive their order.
Banshee partner and general manager Peter Chvala says the idea behind Screamin’ Weenies has been in the works since before the pandemic began last spring as a way to provide lunch and a late-night food option in the village. He and partners chef Nolan Wynn, Faielle Stocco, and Katie McDonald settled on hot dogs from Atlanta-based sausage company Fripper’s, owned and operated by fellow East Atlanta Village resident Colin Miles.
Hot dogs on the menu feature toppings from Wynn and his team at Banshee, including the stewed onions, sauerkraut, and coleslaw. Screamin’ Weenies offers a vegetarian hot dog upon request. Expect online ordering and local delivery, along with late-night service, in the coming weeks. People should follow Banshee on Instagram for menu details and updates.

Until all of the restaurant’s employees are fully vaccinated, the main dining room and bar at Banshee remain closed. Dine-in service is available on the covered patio which features table seating, a bar, and large garage doors opening to the outside. Banshee continues to offer its drive-thru service menu for takeout.
Banshee open for limited patio dining, takeout, and delivery via UberEats and DoorDash. Order online for takeout. Masks required.
