Add Neapolitan-style pizzeria Belli and Caribbean food spot Locale Cafe to the list of stalls opening in June at Midtown food hall Politan Row. A grand opening for the Colony Square food hall kicks off with a ticketed event on Thursday, June 24, and runs through the weekend.
Chef Shaun Doty announced plans in February to open Federal Burger at Politan Row. A second location of Sang Ho’s restaurant Bun Mi Vietnamese Grill, Rob Green’s smoothie and bowl spot YŌM, Hibachi and sushi food truck Gekko, and Creole-Mexican street taco food truck Pretty Little Taco all open this summer at Politan Row.

Locale Cafe
Native Atlantan chef Taylur Davis, whose previous work includes a stint with chef Tony Nuygen at Crustacean Beverly Hills, returns home to open Locale Cafe. The Caribbean food-influenced menu offers dishes like jerk chicken, Jamaican meat patties, and oxtail bowls.
Belli Pizzeria
Owner Mario Ali grew up in his family’s New York City restaurants, before venturing out on his own to run several nightclubs and restaurants, including True Food Kitchen. The menu for his Neapolitan-style pizzeria Belli includes charcuterie boards and pies like the classic margherita and pizzas topped with prosciutto and arugula.

Bar Politan
In addition to the 11 restaurant stalls, a 40-seat central bar called Bar Politan serves cocktails and wine and features a weekday happy hour and brunch cocktails on the weekends.
Set along 14th and Peachtree streets, the food hall was first announced in 2017 as part of a multi-million dollar overhaul of the 50-year-old office and retail complex. Formerly called Main and Main, it was renamed Politan Row last year and is now run by New Orleans-based food hall operator Politan Group in partnership with Atlanta developer North American Properties.
The food hall joins several full-service restaurants now open or opening at Colony Square. Establishment overlooks the Grove at the complex and will eventually offer access to the food hall. Chicago restaurateur Donna Lee opened her first Atlanta location of Brown Bag Seafood Company next to Sukoshi, a fast-casual sushi restaurant from Indigo Road Hospitality (O-Ku). Dine-in theater iPic opened in December. The theater’s restaurant Serena Pastificio opens later this summer, along with the relocated Holeman and Finch Public House, a third location of Persian restaurant Rumi’s Kitchen, a new restaurant from the CEO of Cafe Intermezzo called Saints and Council, and outposts of King of Pops and trendy salad chain Sweetgreen.
Politan Row is now one of three new food halls opening in the city of Atlanta over the next year. Stalls have already begun opening at northwest Atlanta food hall Chattahoochee Food Works, backed by celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern and Robert Montwaid. Montwaid also plans to open a 21-stall food hall at Underground Atlanta some time next year.
