Southern diner Bantam + Biddy is now open at Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta, replacing chicken restaurant Chick-a-Biddy on 19th Street at the development. Both restaurants are owned by chef Shaun Doty.
The opening marks a return to Midtown for Doty, who closed his neighborhood bistro and steakhouse the Federal on Crescent Avenue last year. The Federal replaced a location of Bantam + Biddy in 2016. At the end of 2018, he and Bantam + Biddy co-founder Lance Gummere closed their Alpharetta barbecue restaurant King Barbecue at Avalon, followed by their Mexican restaurant and tequila bar ATL Taco at Lenox Square Mall last October. King Barbecue and ATL Taco replaced locations of Bantam + Biddy.
Like Bantam + Biddy at Ansley Mall and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the Atlantic Station restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu centered around chicken and meat-and-three plates.
Over the last three years, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, Indian fast-casual restaurant NaanStop, bowling chain Bowlero, and Atlanta-based Vietnamese restaurant chain Pho 24 have all opened at the Midtown development.
Thai and Japanese restaurant SriThai Kitchen and Sushi opened last summer at Atlantic Station, followed by a fourth location of Atlanta-based restaurant Hobnob Neighborhood Tavern this spring. Azotea Cantina and Toscano Ristorante Italian restaurant open later this year at the complex flanking 17th Street.
Currently open Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Masks required.
