Named for the Parisian neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Pres in the 6th arrondissement, the cafe will open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serve French pastries alongside a menu of grilled sandwiches, croque monsieurs, quiches, and soups. In addition to coffee, tea, and espresso, expect French wines and champagne by the glass here focused on offerings from organic and women wine producers.
Once open, people order at the counter and can either take their food to go or grab a seat at a table in the cafe or on the patio, styled after the street-side seating found at cafes and restaurants throughout Paris.
French native Mathieu Jourdan-Gassin and Heather Jourdan-Gassin worked at French and American restaurants around Atlanta for years before opening Saint-Germain Bakery in 2016 at Ponce City Market. The pâtisserie is known for its selection of classic French pastries, croissants, chouquettes, macarons, and chocolates.
A similar Saint-Germain bakery-cafe from the couple also opens this summer at the Interlock complex at Howell Mill Road and 14th Street, across from Westside Provisions District.
3035 Peachtree Road, Atlanta. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
