Wood’s Chapel BBQ Shortstop opens at Krog Street Market
The takeout location of Summerhill barbecue restaurant Wood’s Chapel BBQ is now open at Krog Street Market. Wood’s Chapel BBQ Shortstop takes over the former Grand Champion BBQ space at the food hall and features an abbreviated menu from its Summerhill location that includes pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, and smoked turkey sandwiches and sides. There’s also the option to just order meat by the half-pound and slices of one of the restaurant’s fresh-baked pies.
Wood’s Chapel is owned by Rye Restaurants Group, which owns food stalls Fred’s Meat and Bread and Yalla at Krog Street Market, the General Muir at Emory Point and Sandy Springs, and TGM Bread. Group owners Ben and Jen Johnson and Shelly Sweet also own West Egg Cafe on Howell Mill Road. Take a look at the menu below.

The Breakfast Boys opens in College Park
All-day breakfast and brunch restaurant the Breakfast Boys opened over Memorial Day weekend in the former Kafenio space on Main Street in College Park. Backed by Lorenzo Wyche (Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, Rock Steady, Breakfast At Barney’s) and Gee and Juan Smalls (Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen), the restaurant serves brunch dishes like pineapple upside-down French toast, jerk chicken and waffles, and lobster sliders paired with froze, peach cobbler lattes, and mimosas. As with Wyche’s other Atlanta brunch establishments, the Breakfast Boys operates as both a restaurant and a sort of social club. Wyche first met the Smalls when he consulted on their first Main Street restaurant Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen, which opened in College Park two years ago. The Breakfast Boys is open daily at 8 a.m.
