Buckhead: A second location of Midtown restaurant 5Church Atlanta opens this fall on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, taking over the former Sage Woodfire Grill space near Lenox Square Mall. In addition to the large dining room and bar, the Buckhead restaurant will also feature a glass-enclosed sunroom and a chefs table.
Owner Ayman Kamel says since opening 5Church five years ago in Midtown, people have asked him to open another location in Buckhead. Some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes will be included on the Buckhead menu, along with a few new dishes from executive chef Mark Alba and sous chef Angelina Espinoza and pastry chef Ahisha Day. The beverage menu features cocktails and a “globally sourced” wine list.
Serena Pastificio seats 230 people inside, with additional seating for 36 people on its patio and another 36 seats in the restaurant’s private dining room. The restaurant will open for dinner daily at 4 p.m. and offer a weekday happy hour and brunch on the weekends, starting at 11 a.m. [Official]
