Locations of Korean taco and burrito restaurant Yumbii and takeout restaurant the Queso Shop are opening at the Publix-anchored Moores Mill Center on Marietta Boulevard later this year.

Similar to its locations in Brookwood Hills and Toco Hills, Yumbii at Moores Mill Center will feature an ordering counter with seating in the dining room, bar, and on the front and side patios. Expect beer, wine, tequila, and margaritas to pair with Yumbii’s Korean tacos, wings, salad bowls, and sesame fries.

Located next door to Yumbii, the takeout-only Queso Shop will feature a self-service kiosk (or taco ATM) with a walk-up window. The menu mirrors the upcoming Toco Hills location, serving a variety of cheese dips as well as to-go margarita mixes, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas from Yumbii. A rotisserie chicken family meal will be available daily after 4 p.m.

Carson Young founded Yumbii in 2010 as a food truck, before opening his first location six years later in the Buckhead neighborhood of Brookwood Hills. Following the success of Yumbii, Young launched the Queso Shop food truck in Los Angeles, moving the operation to Atlanta in 2019. He expanded the menu in 2020 for the takeout restaurant to include family meals, margarita mixes, a surfer’s burrito, and loaded crispy tater tots.

After opening a permanent location of the Queso Shop in Piedmont Heights this spring, Young closed the restaurant and plans to reopen it some time this fall next door to Yumbii at the Toco Hill Shopping Center.

The Queso Shop and Yumbii join an upcoming third location of Spiller Park Coffee at the Moores Mill Center. Chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips, the owners behind Candler Park restaurant Lazy Betty, open Vietnamese restaurant and bakery Juniper Cafe just up the road at Westside Village later this year.
