A second location of Krog Street Market grain bowl and salad stall Recess opens this fall in the former Cafe Posh space at Hanover Buckhead Village. And it’s apparently the first new location part of a planned expansion for the Castellucci Hospitality-backed establishment in Atlanta and the Southeast.
The Buckhead and Krog Street Market locations are both set to debut a refreshed design this fall from Martin Rickles Studio and offer more dishes on the menu, including new sandwiches and grain bowls, family meals, and build-your-own food options.
Unlike its Krog Street Market counterpart, Recess in Buckhead will feature a takeout window for picking up grab-and-go and online food orders, as well as seating for up to 20 people inside and on the patio. Those opting to dine in order at the counter, before taking a seat when their food is ready. Curbside pick up with designated parking spaces will also be available at the Buckhead location.
Future plans include continuing to streamline the ordering process with the development of a mobile app for Recess, along with some prospective locations operating as catering facilities or takeout and delivery only sites.
Recess focuses on vegetable-heavy toasts, grain bowls, salads, and sandwiches, with a handful of meat and seafood options on the menu. The Krog Street Market food stall shares a drinks menu with neighboring Spanish restaurant Bar Mercado, offering cocktails, beer, wine, and frozen beverages, as well as fresh-pressed juices and smoothies.
Castellucci Hospitality Group opens sushi restaurant MUJŌ by the end of October next door to its Howell Mill Road restaurant Cooks and Soldiers. The pop-up-turned-restaurant, led by New York City sushi chef J. Trent Harris, will serve “modern edomae” style sushi (fish typically marinated and preserved for several days) and hot and cold dishes as part of a kappo-style omakase experience. Expect sake, wine, and cocktails from the bar.
