A second location of chef Pasquale “Pat” Pascarella’s (The White Bull) Neapolitan pizzeria and Italian restaurant Grana is opening next door to Taco Mac in Perimeter Center by the end of the year. An announcement was posted to Instagram over the weekend, and a representative for Grana confirms the Ashford Crossing location will include 175 seats, a patio, and “a more extensive wine list and cocktail program” than the original Piedmont Heights restaurant.
Grana opened on Piedmont Road during the statewide dining room shutdown in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. The menu centers on wood-fired pizzas, Pascarella’s handmade pastas, and meatball flights.
Two more restaurants from Pascarella open this year, too. Mozzarella bar and Italian restaurant Bastone opens in March, taking over the former Bocado space at the corner of 8th Street and Howell Mill Road. Then, this summer, Pascarella plans to open oyster and seafood bar Alici (Italian for anchovies) at Midtown Promenade in the former Frogs Cantina, which closed at the Monroe Drive complex at the end of 2020.
