A second, larger location of Krog Street Market grain bowl and salad stall Recess opens Monday, October 31, at the Hanover Building in Buckhead Village. And this location includes both indoor and outdoor seating and a walk-up window for online and grab-and-go takeout orders.
Recess focuses on vegetable-heavy grain bowls and salads, along with sides like loaded sweet potato fries and spicy Brussels sprouts. People can either order from the set menu options or build their own salad or bowl by choosing from a variety of toppings and proteins, including shredded chicken, Spanish chorizo, and maple-dijon tofu.

The walk-up window is currently operating as a coffee and cold brew pop-up called Coffee Man, run by Devin Hunter and Nick Lopez, and will eventually shift into serving food from Recess in the coming weeks.
Recess is backed by Castellucci Hospitality Group (Mujo, The Iberian Pig, Cooks and Soldiers), Erik Göranson, and Nick Miller of hospitality software company Gather. Future plans include streamlining the ordering process with the development of a mobile app for Recess, along with some possible new locations operating as catering facilities or takeout and delivery-only sites.
