An early morning fire destroyed nightlife spot and sports bar Buckhead Saloon.

The blaze broke out around 8 a.m. Monday morning and grew so intense inside that firefighters had to continue battling the fire from outside the Roswell Road bar. According to multiple news outlets on the scene, the roof of Buckhead Saloon also collapsed. The fire was mostly under control by 11:30 a.m., battalion chief Jason McLain told reporters at the time.

No injuries were reported and firefighters are now extinguishing hot spots in and around the bar. Roswell Road remains closed from Peachtree Road to East Andrews Drive. There is no word on what caused the two-alarm blaze that appears to have originated in the back of the building and took over 50 firefighters to battle.

Eater reached out to representatives of Buckhead Saloon for comment. Atlanta Fire Rescue released a preliminary report Monday afternoon stating that the fire is still under investigation.

This is the second restaurant fire to occur in Buckhead in the last month. The Piedmont Road location of Tin Lizzy’s Cantina caught fire in the early morning hours of September 20. The blaze began outside and spread to the ceiling of the restaurant before it was eventually extinguished. Most of the damage centered around the outside of the building, with water damage inside the restaurant. This location of Tin Lizzy’s remains closed.
