Augustine’s Bar and Grill on Memorial Drive in Grant Park reopens with a new menu, new ownership, and a new look.

The longtime Grant Park bar closed temporarily last September to undergo renovations after the bar was sold to Atlanta real estate investment firm Triton Holdings, which also owns Triton Yards food truck park in Capitol View.

Triton Holdings CEO Trent White tells Eater the company retained all of Augustine’s staff after the sale in 2021.

Now billed as a sports bar with 10 televisions and a pub grub menu to boot, expect weekly steak and potato specials, loaded tater tots topped with Buffalo chicken tenders or Philly cheesesteak, wings, and eight variations on the grilled cheese from Triton Yards container restaurant Skilled Cheese. This includes a Swiss and muenster filet mignon grilled cheese stuffed with roasted red peppers and onions and the five-cheese blend Yardie with grilled jerk salmon and mango habanero jam.

A tight beer list offers mostly local beers on draft and in cans, along with sours and ciders from Creature Comforts Brewing, Three Taverns Brewery, and Atlanta Hard Cider, and a handful of cocktails, including a house margarita and ginger mint julep. Hookah is also available in a designated room at Augustine’s.

White and Triton Holdings opened Triton Yards food truck park on Sylvan Road in March 2020, just two weeks prior to the start of the pandemic. The Capitol View food truck park features a rotating roster of trucks, like Stix and Buns fried seafood, New Orleans-style food from Cafe Bourbon St., and rice bowls from the Lunchbox Truck.

Skilled Cheese became the first of three permanent container restaurants planned for Triton Yards when it opened last spring. The park often hosts community events, local candidates running for office, movie nights, and shows football, soccer, and baseball games on its large outdoor projection screens.
