Easter takes place late this year, falling on Sunday, April 17. While not everyone celebrates the holiday, some people see it as a chance to simply gather with friends and family to celebrate the start of spring and new beginnings.

The guide below is by no means an exhaustive list of Easter brunches and events, but rather highlights a few key spots to partake in brunch, grab supplies for a porch or patio picnic, and order family feasts, hams, pork roasts, and sweet treats to celebrate at home.

Easter brunches and dinners

St. Cecilia in Buckhead is offering a roast lamb dinner for two on Easter.

Juniper Cafe

The new Westside Village Vietnamese restaurant is hosting an Easter brunch that includes French toast, hot chicken biscuits, and grill lemongrass pork chops. There’s even egg painting for the kids. Reservations encouraged.

Cooks and Soldiers

The Howell Mill Road tapas restaurant is offering Easter brunch and dinner to include Basque French toast, hanger steak and eggs, and Spanish omelettes. Reservations encouraged.

Twisted Soul Cookhouse and Pours

The Huff Road restaurant plans to offer an Easter brunch to include dishes like fried chicken, blackened salmon with Creole butter, French toast, and a prime rib carving station. Reservations encouraged.

Boone’s

The restaurant overlooking the Bobby Jones Golf Course hosts an Easter brunch with a menu to include biscuits and gravy, salmon croquette eggs benedict, fried chicken, and pancakes. Reservations encouraged.

The Betty

The new Buckhead hotel offers an Easter prix fixe brunch served family style to include biscuits, deviled eggs, shrimp and grits, French toast, and roast trout. Reservations encouraged.

Ecco

St. Cecilia

The Buckhead Italian restaurant offers an Easter dinner for two featuring roasted lamb with a side of farro verde, peas, and mint. Reservations encouraged.

Petite Violette

Opening on Sunday for Easter, enjoy a special four-course meal from this French restaurant to include soup and salad, a choice of entree, and dessert. Reservations encouraged.

Cafe Claudia

A pop-up led by pastry chef Claudia Martinez (Miller Union), catch Cafe Claudia at 8ARM on Ponce this Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., along with the chefs from Octopus Bar and pop-up Food and Fellowship. Expect brunch food, pastries, and cocktails. A portion of the cocktail sales benefits immigration justice advocacy group El Refugio.

Two Urban Licks

The Eastside Beltline restaurant opens for Easter brunch to include lemon ricotta pancakes, shrimp and grits with andouille sausage and crawfish, smoked brisket, and braised lamb. Reservations encouraged.

Red’s Beer Garden

The Benteen Park beer garden is hosting an Easter brunch on April 16 and April 17 this year to include a variety of breakfast tacos paired with beer, mimosas, beermosas, and coffee. Dog-friendly patio.

Table and Main

Located on Canton Street in the heart of historic downtown Roswell, Table and Main is once again hosting its annual Easter brunch. Expect everything from cinnamon rolls and deviled eggs to carrot cake pancakes and shrimp and grits on the menu. Reservations encouraged.

The Farmhouse at Serenbe

A restaurant located inside the Inn at Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills, the Farmhouse is offering a four-course Easter menu to include pimento cheese and deviled eggs, salad, fried chicken, crab-stuffed grouper, or glazed ham, and either strawberry cheesecake or carrot cake for dessert. Sweet Auburn Barbecue

The Poncey-Highland barbecue restaurant offers a family meal feeding four people for pick up April 17 to include grilled pork loins, two sides, jalapeno cheddar cornbread muffins, and chocolate chip cookies. Order here by April 15.

The Chastain

Little Tart Bakeshop

The Grant Park, Krog Street Market, and Summerhill locations of Little Tart Bakeshop are all offering a selection of Easter cakes, pies, and other treats, like iced sable cookies shaped like Easter eggs. Order here for pick up.

Chop Shop Butcher Shop

The Edgewood neighborhood butcher shop and market is offering prime rib roast, leg of lamb, and hams for sale. Order for pick up starting April 15.

Evergreen Butcher and Baker

Order leg of lamb, ham, pork loin, and any number of roasting meats rom this Kirkwood butchery and bakery. The bakery is also selling hot cross buns. Call or email to order.

The Spotted Trotter

Located on Moreland Avenue, this longtime butcher and charcuterie shop features several cuts of meat, including prime rib, pork tenderloin, and smoked duck. Order online.
