Popular Breakfast and Brunch Cafe Closes June 19 After Three Years on Presidential Parkway

The Little Farmhouse Cafe

A popular breakfast and brunch spot just inside the Perimeter in unincorporated DeKalb County is closing after service on Sunday, June 19, Atlanta blog Tomorrow’s News Today first reported.

Chris and Angie Morrison announced via social media over the weekend the upcoming closure of the Little Farmhouse Cafe at commercial kitchen facility Prep on Presidential Parkway. The couple plans to instead “merge” the Little Farmhouse Cafe with their catering company MRDfoods and rent out the restaurant space to other Atlanta chefs to host private dinners and special events there.

“There are some amazing opportunities on the horizon and it has become clear that this is the best direction for our family and company at this time,” the announcement reads in part. “Our catering operation will be out of the same location, so the restaurant space will also be available to rent for private chef dinners, brunches, and special events.”

Following the successful launch of catering business MRDfoods five years ago, the Morrisons went on to open the Little Farmhouse Cafe in 2019. Dishes served at the cafe blend American, Southern, and French cuisines together on the menu, which includes blueberry beignets, daily sandwich specials , a brunch cubano, and the cafe’s popular brisket and fried chicken biscuits. The Little Farmhouse Cafe also offers barbecue dinners for takeout, Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
