The success chef Jamie Adams and Leonardo Moura found in their Chamblee restaurant Lagarde American Eatery three years ago is leading the pair to open a second location at Crabapple Market in Milton later this year. Lagarde American Eatery blends Southern, Cajun, and classic New Orleans dishes together on the menu.
Lagarde is Adams’s middle name, and many of the dishes on the menu in Chamblee are based on his childhood and family trips to New Orleans where his parents grew up. This includes his mother’s gumbo.
As in Chamblee, the menu for the Milton restaurant will also feature dishes like shrimp etouffee, red beans and rice, grilled and fresh oysters, po’ boys, and jambalaya and specials such as Cajun pork belly hash. Bread pudding, fried doughnut holes, and pecan pie are offered for dessert, with cocktails, frozen drinks, and beer and wine from the bar. Brunch will be served on the weekends.
According to a press release, the design plans in Milton call for a patio and “graffiti–like vignettes” and “a tempting oyster display” in the dining room, along with a bar centered around “fun”.
Lagarde American Eatery joins Olde Blind Dog Irish pub, Knuckies Hoagies, seafood market and cafe Kathleen’s Catch, the Nest Cafe, Buzzed Bull Creamery, and Peace Love and Pizza at Crabapple Market. Dua Vietnamese, Spiced Right Ribhouse, and Johns Creek brewery Six Bridges Brewing are all slated to open at the complex in the coming year.
Adams and Moura also own Italian restaurant il Giallo Osteria and Bar and G’s Pizzeria in Sandy Springs.
