Korean-Japanese restaurant Jinbei West opens Friday, September 23, in Peachtree Corners. Located on Town Center Boulevard, Jinbei West is the sister restaurant of Yakitori Jinbei in Smyrna.

Backed by chef Jae Choi and chef and cookbook author G. Garvin, expect an expanded menu at Jinbei West to that of the Smyrna location, including an omakase offered at the sushi bar.

Look for other dishes from Choi here, too, like his popular Korean fried chicken, ramen, and okonomiyaki, along with a selection of sushi rolls and new dishes such as wagyu fried rice and maki rolls. Sake, soju, and Japanese whisky as well as cocktails and Korean and Japanese beers are available from the bar.

“G. has been my friend and unofficial partner for years as I’ve looked to him for advice about navigating the restaurant industry,” Choi says in a press release. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating together on this new concept bringing in some favorites from Yakitori Jinbei while making this new adventure all its own.”

Billed as a more “elevated” dining experience than Yakitori Jinbei, Jinbei West seats 40 people in the dining room, with an additional eight seats at the sushi bar. A patio also offers seating for another 20 people.

5170 Town Center Boulevard, Peachtree Corners. Open Sunday and Tuesday - Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday - Saturday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m
