Self-service wine bar and market Taste Wine Bar is now open at the Works complex off of Chattahoochee Avenue in Underwood Hills.
Owned by sommelier and wine merchant Ben Ferris, people can sample up to 50 wines from self-service taps by either opening a tab or loading a prepaid card with a set number of 1.5-ounce pours. Wines are also offered by the glass and carafe, with bottles on tap available for purchase in market. Taste carries an additional 100 bottles of wine for purchase in its market, beyond what’s on tap.
Ferris features wines he describes as “fan favorites” on tap at Taste, as well as a number of regional wines, wines made by women and people of color, and wines from smaller producers around the world. In addition to wine, people can build their own charcuterie and cheese boards or order a panini, salad, or one of the weekly specials from the food menu meant for pairing.
Taste Wine Bar joins Chattahoochee Food Works food hall, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Brash Coffee, Fetch dog park, gaming venue Your 3rd Spot, and Scofflaw Brewing Co. now open at the Works. Drew and Brittany Fancher, the owners of mobile bar business Aero Bar Atlanta, should open their new cocktail lounge at the Works later this year.
