A second location of Grant Park street taco spot Butaco opens later this spring at mini food hall Southern Feedstore in East Atlanta Village.
Butaco takes over the former Gyro Gyro stall at Southern Feedstore and will serve lunch and dinner daily and remain open until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Last year, Buteco owner Rafael Pereira shifted the food menu at his coffee and cocktail bar in Grant Park away from Brazilian fare to street tacos. Butaco is led by chef Timothy Rufino (Juniper Cafe, Lazy Betty) and run out of a food truck parked beside Buteco. Its success at the Beacon led to the opportunity to open a restaurant stall at Southern Feedstore, a mini food hall which is partially owned by Pereira and includes a location of Buteco.
With more space to work with, Rufino plans to expand the menu in East Atlanta beyond street tacos like grilled shrimp and al pastor. Expect Mexican street corn, salads, chips with salsa and queso, and rice bowls featuring birria rice tossed with black beans, lettuce, and fresh pico de gallo among the dishes at the food stall.
Butaco joins restaurant stalls Buteco, Woody’s CheeseSteaks, Waffle Bar, and TKO Korean at Southern Feedstore. Woody’s Cheesesteaks, Waffle Bar, and Korean street food stall TKO also remain open past 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays for late-night dining.
Open Sunday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
